What is an urban trail?

An urban trail is the ideal way to see the park as you've never seen it before and to run in places that have never been run before, such as through our offices, courtyard gardens, the company restaurant, our dog area,...

The urban trail concept has been around for several years in Belgium in different cities and locations. The whole idea revolves around offering participants a special running experience. This is highly recommended for anyone who likes movement and is not afraid of a sporting challenge.

It is more than a running race, it is an adventure of discovery on running shoes! The beautiful heritage of our park, combined with the enthusiasm of other athletes creates an unseen atmosphere among the participants. Put on your running shoes and discover this business park in a unique way!

The circuit

The trail amounts to a loop of +/- 3.5km, starting and ending at our padel club.

Formula

The Pegasus Urban Trail is a challenge where everyone is welcome. Both in teams and as individuals.

• Individual registration: As an individual you run a lap of +-3.5km. There are 2 classifications: ladies and gentlemen.
  
  
• Team/company registration (relay): The goal is to run 14 km with your team/company of 4 people as fast as possible. Each team member runs one loop of 3.5km before passing the relay baton to the next team member. So agility, communication and perseverance will definitely come in handy. There will be 3 different rankings here: fastest mixed team (min 2 ladies present), fastest 100% women's team & fastest 100% men's team. Gather friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances to compete together for the grand prize.

In addition to the unique experience of (re)discovering Pegasus Park on running shoes, we offer all participants of the Pegasus Urban Trail a participation package with:

Charity donation

Per participant, Pegasus will donate 100% of the registration fee to Healty Heart Fund!

Healthy Heart Fund is an organization within the UZ and KU Leuven alliance that strives for as many healthy hearts and blood vessels as possible.

A team of scientists, engineers and doctors conduct research into cardiovascular problems in the broadest sense of the word and seek answers to questions such as: how can we motivate people to live as healthily as possible, how can we prevent sudden death among young people or how can we avoid heart and brain attacks as efficiently as possible.

All this is linked to the ambition to keep patients' quality of life high and improve it wherever possible.

The fund provides financial support for this very diverse cardiology research and gives young top researchers with innovative ideas a boost. Working resources are scarce, but absolutely necessary to find answers to questions that affect so many people or their loved ones.

Program

• 16:00: Pick-up chest numbers and start registration on site @ fitness center
• 17:30: Start race in waves
• 19:30: Finish last participant
• 20:00: Prize-giving ceremony
• 22:00: End of the event

Continuous: bar, foodtruck & music

Invite friends and family! Non-Pegasus members are also more than welcome to this event, either as participants or supporters! Enjoy the collegiate atmosphere together.

Pick-up chest numbers

Those who are registered will receive an e-ticket. With this e-ticket (on your smartphone) you can pick up your chest number on Thursday, May 16 from 4 p.m. onwards at the fitness center of Pegasus Park (De Kleetlaan 5C). Didn't receive an e-ticket? Be sure to check the spam folder of your emails.

Those who registered as a group cannot collect their chest number in person, but must contact the team captain (person who completed the registration). This person will be in charge of picking up and distributing the chest numbers of the entire group.

Start procedure

To allow you to run in comfort through the streets, up the stairs and through the buildings during the Pegasus Urban Trail, participants will leave in waves. These waves will be communicated to runners and team captains a week before the event.

Volunteers

Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of this event from the front row and sign up as a volunteer!
You don't have to run yourself to make a difference. To make the organization of this event a success, we are looking for volunteers who want to lend a hand on different posts.
